Yup, that's what Steamworks usually means. You can install it off the disc, it "checks in" with Steam and it's basically like you bought the game off Steam anyways.

It's like two people use that account. I don't think I've ever seen someone blatantly contradict themselves in their own thread the way he did.

I'm not a Steam only user by any means...I still buy a lot of retail and pretty much go where the deals are regardless of medium, but why this level of anger?

Mafia 1 was totally moddable, it just took years to break and crack the resource archives and libraries (.dta files I believe) but it was done and there is a good community.

Personally, I am staying away from Mafia 2 unless some brilliant individual figures out a way to mod the camera. It is killing me. There were a few camera mods for Mafia 1.

While I love steam, i can't quite get how you loose dvds lol. I have never lost one..........

I'm alright with Mafia II's cam. It's too close, but it doesn't really seem to impact the gameplay at all — just feels a bit weird.
