Can you guys recommend a motherboard for an e8500, I dont care about multi GPU support as I use 2 monitors and it must be PCI expres v2, ideally it would be under ?100

Asus P5N-D nForce 750i SLi seems to fit this bill?

I might well go more and get a decent x38 as you say trunks, Im hoping to get the 8500 over 4ghz on air.

Whats the multi on the 8500? The Gigabyte board should be able to handle at least a 450FSB, possibly a lot more with a dual core.

Best part is, X38 is CrossfireX compatible. Enjoy the system.

I bought 2 x 8800GT and it was the lack of dual monitors that finally made me send one back.

Why not get a X38 and overclock the hell out of the Wolfdale? Gigabyte and Asus X38 overclock a LOT. Sure its more than £100 but i think its worth it.

FYI, ATI Catalyst 8.1 introduced dual monitor over crossfire, working fine here with my friends 19" TFT's and dual 3850's.

Though the only other option is OcUK's own brand X38 motherboard, that'll be out soon at approx 100 inc VAT.
